Studio Won't Start
If Genzbots Studio fails to launch, crashes on startup, or shows a blank window, use this guide to diagnose and fix the issue.
Common Errors & Fixes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |

| "This app can't run on your PC" | Wrong architecture — needs 64-bit Windows | Re-download the MSI from the official download page. Verify Windows is 64-bit: Settings → System → About → "64-bit operating system" |
| "A required privilege is not held" | Needs elevated permissions on first run | Right-click the desktop shortcut → Run as administrator once. After the first run it will launch normally. |
| Splash screen shows then disappears | Port 7820 is in use by another instance | Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) → Details tab → find Genzbots.Studio.exe → End Task. Relaunch. |
| Blank window / white screen | GPU rendering issue | Right-click Genzbots Studio shortcut → Properties → Compatibility → check Disable fullscreen optimisations |
| Crash with no dialog | Unhandled startup exception | Open File Explorer → address bar → type %AppData%\Genzbots\logs → open studio-crash.log → paste the stack trace in #bug-reports on Discord |
